USAA has announced the appointment of Clyde Douglas (pictured above) as senior vice president and general manager of claims. In his new role, Douglas will oversee the company’s claims organization.

Douglas has more than 25 years of industry experience. He joins USAA from Chubb, where he served as executive vice president and chief operations officer of global claims. Prior to joining the insurance industry, Douglass served in the US Coast Guard.

“As a veteran, I’m honored to join such a well-recognized brand who has served a noble mission of serving active-duty service members, veterans and their families for 100 years,” Douglas said. “I look forward to building on USAA’s success and ensuring that we are ready to meet the needs of our members and employees as we look to our next century.”
